Introduction
GEMINI is a 2.5D puzzle platformer with a main feature of recall. The character has a clone that reproduces all that he does with a delay of 4 seconds.
This project was made in 10 days with a team of 8. And was supervised by Old Skull Game

"The Valve method" for puzzle design
Inspired by the GDC talk about the puzzle design in Portal. I wanted to apply this method of puzzle-solving in this project.

What I have done first was to evaluate the difficulty to understand and use each feature, And at which moment we want to use it in the game.
"The difficulty of a puzzle cames from the number of steps to reproduce to complete it, the learning of new mechanics and the new application of existing mechanics"
So I set up a simple way to calculate these steps:

Each step = 1

A new mechanics = 2
-
New application of a mechanics = 2


In orange, it's the new mechanics or the new application of an existing mechanics
In blue it's a step that the player has already use.
By using this method it was easier to measure the difficulty of each module and see how it will evolve as things progress.
